We recommend that those new to DISCERN should attend a DISCERN workshop, use the online training resource on this website or work with an experienced DISCERN reviewer. A good way for new reviewers to get started is to complete a practice run on a set of information, with at least one other reviewer. DISCERN scores should be compared between reviewers, and differences in scoring should be resolved by discussion.
